CVRAN Family Picnic and 10 Year Celebration!

November 6, 2025 0 Comments

CVRAN families and friends gathered in late September for a picnic at the North Branch Nature Center. The weather was glorious. Kids played soccer, adults socialized (on the look-out for errant kicks), and most people spent their time outside enjoying a perfect fall day. There was a also painting mural (see the photo above) for anyone willing to get messy and it added a whole range of color to the normal fall hues.

Plenty of food, with everyone bringing a potluck dish to share, kept all fueled for the afternoon. We gathered inside for brief remarks celebrating 10 years of CVRAN – it is both humbling and exciting to see how far we’ve come in that time. Some big milestones have been achieved!

A yummy carrot cake topped off the anniversary celebration. Then it was time for a nature walk with North Branch staffer Luis Gonzalez. A contingent went off to find hidden treasure along the trail, while the rest neatened up the meeting room before heading home.

What a nice way to spend time with friends.
