Celebrating The Newly Completed Randall Apartments!

On Thursday, August 22, a small group of people gathered at the T.W. Wood Gallery in Montpelier to celebrate the completion of a new housing project in town. This wasn’t just any housing project, it was a partnership focused on providing housing specifically for new Americans.
CVRAN and Downstreet Housing and Community Development worked together to find funding, contractors, and all the other necessities that had to come together to make the project possible. Despite unexpected extras and increasing cost of supplies, the project was finished in the spring of this year and ready for new residents. As thanks for all his hard work, making this a reality, the house has been named the Randall Apartments in honor of contractor Ken Randall who took all the challenges in stride.
Four New American families are now living in a house that was literally rebuilt from top to bottom – new wiring and plumbing, new appliances, and new foundation. All was replaced to create modern comfortable space for people who very much need a place to feel safe and welcome.
CVRAN is fortunate to have such great partners to work with! We are also fortunate to have great volunteers like Kathie O. who helped make this dream a reality.
