CVRAN’s Record-Breaking Sunshine Fund

We could not be happier to report that CVRAN broke the record for funds raised in the first two weeks of February by Lawson’s Finest Liquids’ Sunshine Fund with a whopping $20,399.11!
As you can see written all over Kelly and Ali’s faces above, we are overjoyed to have been asked to partner with Lawson’s Finest and the Mad River Valley community in this way.
Thank you to everyone who brought friends and stopped by the tasting room during the two weeks we were the Sunshine Fund designee – your support made a real difference. We deeply admire Lawson’s Finest Liquids’ commitment to sustainable staff wages and their practice of involving employees in selecting the charitable organizations supported through tasting‑room gratuities. It’s a thoughtful and community‑minded model, and we (and our families!) are grateful to have benefitted from it. Our February 7 gathering at their Waitsfield taproom was a highlight of the season. The Lawson’s team welcomed us with genuine warmth, and we had the chance to connect with both longtime supporters and many new faces. We look forward to building even more relationships in the Waitsfield area and to future opportunities to partner with Lawson’s Finest Liquids.
The funds raised will support a wide range of essential needs, including replacing lost SNAP benefits for asylee families, covering legal fees for pending asylum and green card applications, investing in interpretation software, and providing scholarships for CVRAN youth heading to camps and tournaments this spring and summer. We are fortunate to have a local business like Lawson’s Finest in our community, and we encourage you to visit them often to support the many worthy organizations they will feature through the Sunshine Fund throughout 2026, including our partners at Vermont Legal Aid, currently “on tap” from March 16–31!
