Earlier this week, Steven Tendo (a former CVRAN client) and Wuendy Bernardo (a Vermont dairy farmer and advocate) reported for routine check-ins at the St. Albans ICE office. Since many recent check-ins like these have ended with people being detained or worse, Migrant Justice and the NE Kingdom Asylum Seekers Assistance Network (NEKASAN) called for folks to rally in their support. More than 200 people, including many from CVRAN, Migrant Justice, and local unions, answered the call and came to St. Albans.
All ended well, with both Steven and Wuendy leaving the offices via the front door, to everyone’s relief!
