A Little Bit More About The Mexican Consulate Visit

The Mexican Consulate provided some additional information about the visit:

  • Approximately 140 people were served:
    • 88 passports were issued;
    • 22 consular IDs;
    • 4 birth or dual nationality registrations were completed; and
    • 17 Mexican birth certificates issued in Mexico were printed.
  • Talks were given about migrant labor rights, health, and mental health issues.

Though there was less of a festival feeling this year, this event fills a real need for Mexicans living and working in Vermont. CVRAN thanks our volunteers who stepped up to provide food, translation, and general support for the event.
