The program runs for 8 weeks during school vacation. The children range in age from preschoolers to high school students and each one meets for an hour a week with a CVRAN Reading Partner in the child’s home or other location such as the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.

Books are supplied by the Kellogg Hubbard Library and by Bear Pond Books. The Reading Partner also brings art materials and games and puzzles to share. Reading and playing together are exciting and may help the child learn, but even more valuable is the relationship that grows between the Reading Partner and the child.

As of June 20, we are still looking for two more Reading Partner to meet with a child on Saturdays. Please email Amy Ehrlich if you are interested.
