Vermont Edition Story on Refugees and Resettlement in Vermont

Vermont Edition hosted a discussion on January 22, 2024 about bringing refugees and asylum seekers to Vermont when there is a shortage of affordable housing. Guests include:

  • Mark Clark, program manager for the Ethiopian Community Development Council (ECDC) in southern Vermont,
  • Amila Merdzanovic, Vermont director for the US Committee For Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI),
  • Tim Rivera of World Learning, and
  • Abdul Rizwanzai, an Afghan refugee currently working with ECDC.
