March Arts Marathon Participant: Team: Ricochet (Janet Van Fleet and RD Eno)
Mission: Poems (RD) and Visual Art (Janet). Mostly alternating each day
Message: Janet and RD, partners for 54 years, will share the Marathon, so sponsors will get something every day from one of us, alternating for six days a week. You can expect us to be responsive to one another’s work as we are to each other in our daily lives. Those lives, like the life of the nation, have fallen under a cloud, but the shadows we endure and will emerge from eventually can’t compare to the darkness afflicting those refugees and asylum-seekers to whom our promises have been broken. Vermont has become a Golden Door to a sanctuary that the purveyors of darkness and hostility want to shut and seal. Think of our work, in support of CVRAN, as a little wedge thrust into the gap to keep it open.
