Welcome to my March Arts Marathon page to benefit the Central Vermont Refugee Action Network—CVRAN. As an arts marathoner, I will complete one piece of artwork each day in March and share it with everyone who makes a donation via this page. It is like making a pledge to a runner in a marathon, but in this case, making art is my form of running.
CVRAN’s mission is to welcome and give support to refugees, asylum seekers, and migrant workers living and working. They assist with housing, living expenses and legal fees as needed by a large group of asylum seekers and resettled refugee families in the area. It is a great cause that is really important to me and vital to Vermont.
Mine will be one of many daily contributions by poets, writers, painters, photographers, fabric artists, collage and multimedia artists. Each participating artist will share their work with their donors each day of the Marathon.
SPECIAL BENEFITS FOR DONORS THROUGH MY PAGE
Donors through my artist page are in for some extra special benefits.
1. Everyone will receive each day’s image electronically.
2. Each week of the Marathon, I will draw one name from among my donors and that person will receive the original, signed artwork.
3. At the end of the month, I will draw one name from among all donors of $50 or more. That person will receive a custom-made Tiny Little Library. I will consult with the winner about their desired theme. The work can be made from the winner’s own books, or from my collection.
