We are so excited to announce that the first episode of Many Voices, One Vermont has aired! Click here to stream online or catch us every Sunday at 1:00 PM.

Many Voices, One Vermont on 99.3 FM, is a 30-minute program celebrating the voices, stories, experiences, cultures, and contributions that make our community strong.

Each monthly episode delivers vital community updates and collaborative discussions with our partners. The platform centers the lived experiences, diverse backgrounds, and voices of the refugees, asylum seekers, and newcomers who call Vermont home.

To bring this show to life, CVRAN has collaborated with the United States Committee for Refugees and Immigrants in Vermont (USCRI Vermont), The Vermont Asylum Assistance Project (VAAP), and other local community partners.

Our debut episode featured Jill Martin Diaz, the Executive Director and supervising attorney at the Vermont Asylum Assistance Project (VAAP), speaking about what you should know about immigration law. In the same episode, the team from USCRI caught up with runners in the M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon & Relay who went the extra mile to raise funds for refugees in Vermont. Listeners also heard from CVRAN’s own Executive Director, Ali Zenie, and Direct Services and Volunteer Coordinator, Isabelle Tibi, who shared a closer look at the organization’s mission, rapid response initiatives, and how staff and volunteers come together to support new Vermonters in Washington County.

In case you missed it, the show can be found here. The show will run every Sunday at 1pm, with new episodes airing every month!

Stay tuned for the next episode that will feature Andy Plante of the local band Small Axe. He discusses his inspiration for organizing a benefit concert for CVRAN, alongside their performance of This Land Is Your Land, using the song to highlight the power of neighborly solidarity and what it truly means to welcome new Vermonters. The episode will also spotlight clips and interviews with current and former USCRI clients from around the world.
