The Fifth Annual March Arts Marathon is Coming!
At least 40 artists and other creators have signed up to be part of this fundraiser for the Central Vermont Refugee Action Network (CVRAN). These wonderful creative and generous people will be sharing near daily updates as they paint, draw, write, sing, photograph and more during the month of March. You can sponsor an artist and receive those updates in your inbox – your own personal art show. All money raised goes toward housing, living expenses, legal fees, and other support services for the asylum seekers and refugees helped by CVRAN in Central Vermont. If you need a little pick-me-up during muddy March, the CVRAN Arts Marathon is just the thing!
2025 marks the fifth year of the Marathon and it is a top CVRAN fundraiser. Creating and sharing something online almost every day is no small thing for artists and they love every minute of it. Orah Moore, a photographer says “As an artist participant I like finding sponsors from my friend groups all over the U.S.A. and beyond our borders. The Marathon draws attention to the care given to helping our refugees and asylum seekers in Central Vermont. It’s unique in that these sponsors get art in their email box as a thank you. And the art making practice is very satisfying. Further, I have enjoyed sponsoring some of the artists and getting a gift of their art sent to me each day!” Nicola Morris, writer and visual artist, helped create and coordinates the annual event. Her enthusiasm and support helps the artists get through a very busy month.

Artists can join the Marathon up until February 28th by clicking that same button.
