March Arts Marathon Participant: Team: The Chromatics (Karen Rodis, Finnie Trimpi, Fiona Davis)
Mission: We will work in a variety of mediums such as watercolor, gouache, ceramics, and fiber, and create what inspires us! We love color, so our virtual “gallery” will be filled with images to inspire you and make your eyeballs happy.
Our team members will each share their artwork twice during the first week of March. From there, we will each take a week to feature our own art. Finnie will take week 2, Karen will take week 3, and Fiona will finish up with week 4.
Message: The March Arts Marathon has long been the backbone of CVRAN fundraising. Sponsors like you will be assisting with housing, living expenses, and legal fees for asylum seeker and refugee families as they come to Central Vermont.
The March Arts Marathon is a community effort. For six days each week in March poets, writers, painters, photographers, fabric artists, collage and multimedia artists will each send a copy of their daily work to friends and family. And friends and family will donate to support this work. Together we will be helping to welcome new Americans, who in turn will add immeasurably to our own communities.
About the team:
The Chromatics harmonize together in Central Vermont. Finnie is a painter and fiber artist who founded MaddHen Studio to share her contemporary paintings inspired by nature, pets, and everyday life. Fiona works in porcelain and stoneware creating pots that are free hand carved through bright underglaze. She founded Blue Plum Pottery and is also a painter. Karen is an artist who works in watercolor and often en plein air to explore topics in nature and the landscape.
