“I Have Roots Here Now. I am A Vermonter.”
In 2020, at the height of the pandemic, CVRAN helped a Tunisian asylum seeker get out of New York City and move to Vermont. That individual has become a dear friend to CVRAN members and many others, even joining the Board this April. But Ghazi’s really big milestone and celebration came earlier this year, when he received official approval of his request for asylum in the US!
This weekend, the Times Argus and Rutland Herald papers published Ghazi’s story, written by CVRAN member Amy Ehrlich. Read this compelling story here.
We ask that you not use Facebook to share this story. Ghazi continues to have concerns for his family and friends still in Tunisia and so more private means of sharing are better!
